SayBits and your account
SayBits is operated by Alentra, Sweden. Contact hello@alentra.app (mailto:hello@alentra.app) for support or questions about these terms. These terms govern your use of the app and website when they become effective and are presented to you for acceptance.
You must be at least 16 years old, meet any higher applicable local requirement, and have the legal capacity or permission required to use the service. If local law requires a parent or guardian's permission, obtain it. Do not misrepresent your age, impersonate someone or create accounts to evade restrictions. A business account must be used by someone authorized to act for that business.
Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize, but these terms do not make you automatically responsible for every act of an attacker. Provide accurate information where it is needed to operate or protect your account.
Posting and private conversations
SayBits lets you share short voice bits, respond to others and use private Circles or direct messages. Review your recording and destination before posting. Public posts and replies can be heard and shared by other people. Circle and direct-message access is restricted in the service, but participants can make external copies. Do not treat private messaging as end-to-end encrypted or as a guarantee that a recipient will keep something confidential.
Choose topics and spoken language honestly. Follow the Community Guidelines in profiles, public posts, replies, private messages and invitations. Respect message requests, blocks and refusals. Do not harass people through other accounts or destinations.
Uploads can fail or be interrupted. A recording is not confirmed as published merely because its recording sheet closed; check Bit status and keep a recoverable draft until successful publication. Do not rely on SayBits for emergency communications.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your recordings and other original content. You must have the rights and permissions needed to record and share the people, music and other material in them. Giving credit is not a substitute for permission where permission is required.
You give Alentra a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, copy, encode, transmit and display your content as needed to provide SayBits, including playback to the audience you select and the public sharing features you use. This permission covers our service providers working for those purposes; it does not transfer ownership of your voice or authorize selling it as a cloned voice.
Public sharing may create a playable export or preview on another service. You grant the permissions necessary to carry out the sharing you request. Deleting the original cannot recall a recipient's saved copy or a third-party export. We will not use private messages in public marketing without a separate permission.
Our permission ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for limited retention permitted by the Privacy Policy or law and copies already shared outside our control. SayBits branding and software remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not grant a right to impersonate SayBits or claim its endorsement.
Acceptable use
Do not upload illegal material, abuse others, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, distribute malicious content, exploit security weaknesses or disrupt the service. Do not automate spam, manufacture engagement, evade account restrictions or obtain data you are not allowed to access. Responsible security reports can be sent privately to hello@alentra.app.
SayBits is for human expression. AI-generated personalities, ordinary synthetic-voice posts, unauthorized voice cloning and deceptive impersonation are prohibited. Disability-related assistive speech is allowed under the Community Guidelines; no public medical disclosure is required. Ordinary editing that preserves a person's speech, such as trimming or noise reduction, is allowed.
Saving and removing the same bit cannot generate repeated contributions to its public lifetime save count. Your saved list remains private. Popularity, visibility or a particular audience is never guaranteed.
Reports, restrictions and appeals
Report a bit or account through the app, or email us with its link or identifying details. We may investigate and remove content, restrict or suspend an account, or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, unlawful activity or a material safety/security risk. Our response should reflect severity, context and available evidence. A report or suspicion that a voice is generated is not, by itself, proof of a violation.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we explain the reason for action and how to appeal. Use the in-app appeal option when shown, or email hello@alentra.app. A reviewer will consider relevant context and corrections. We may act immediately where delay would expose people or the service to harm. Reporting and appeal rights do not limit any legal remedy available to you.
Leaving, changes and responsibility
You can stop using SayBits and initiate account deletion from the app. Account restrictions do not remove access to the available deletion or appeal process. The Privacy Policy explains cleanup and limited retention. We may end or materially change features for technical, security, legal or business reasons; when reasonably possible, we will give notice of changes that significantly affect you.
We take reasonable care in providing SayBits but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect delivery or the accuracy of other users' statements. Nothing here excludes responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude, or takes away mandatory consumer rights. We do not impose a blanket waiver of legal remedies or compulsory arbitration.
Swedish law governs these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or access to courts available where you live. Contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve a concern; doing so is not a condition of using legal rights.
We will identify material changes to these terms and give appropriate notice. Where fresh agreement is required, we will ask for it. Paid subscriptions and creator monetization are not part of this launch; any later paid offering will explain its price and separate conditions before purchase.
