Our story

You had to hear it.

The laugh that gave it away. The excitement in a friend’s voice. Some parts of a story get lost when we type it.

SayBits is a social app built around those parts. You share short voice snippets, called bits, and hear other people in their own words.

A bit can be up to 20 seconds. Enough for something you noticed, a question, or the start of a story. You can listen, follow a topic, reply out loud, or take a conversation into a private Circle.

We want it to feel easy to say something as yourself. An ordinary thought, in your ordinary voice, is a good place to start.

SayBits’ S mark, formed from two speech shapesA bit. A reply. A conversation.

Sound like yourself.

Your accent and the way you tell a story belong in the conversation. Record a bit, listen back, and share when you’re ready.

Listening is taking part.

There’s no need to start with a post. Find a topic you care about and hear what people have to say.

Choose who’s in the room.

Some thoughts are for everyone. Others are for your people. Public bits, Circles, and Direct give each conversation its place.

Remember who’s listening.

There’s a person on the other side of a bit. Be curious, disagree with care, and leave space for a reply.
